Real people. Clear accountability.

Your clients need capability. You do not always need another department.

Agency workloads are lumpy. One month is quiet; the next brings a website build, an urgent pitch and three technical problems at once. We give you experienced capacity when the work is there, without the permanent overhead between projects.

Human thinking where it matters. AI where it helps.

What partners say

Straightforward and fuss-free.

“Working with Sam, Nat and the team is always straightforward and fuss-free. They are great at coming up with ideas and working with us to find the best possible solutions for our brands.”

A useful development partner

More capability. Less permanent overhead.

This is good value in the useful sense: experienced people, a wider mix of skills and a flexible relationship. Not cheaper work.

Sometimes hiring is right. Sometimes partnering makes more sense.

A full-time developer can be a great investment when you have consistent demand and a clearly defined role.

But many agencies need a changing mix of UX, interface design, front-end development, back-end systems, CMS architecture, integrations, testing and deployment. It is difficult for one person to cover all of that equally well.

Working with BuiltByHumans gives you access to a wider set of skills without recruitment costs, employer costs or the ongoing commitment of building the same capability internally. You pay for the project or capacity you actually need.

  1. 01

    Confidence before promises

Understand the technical shape of the work before features, costs and deadlines are committed.

  2. 02

    Room to protect your margin

Clear scopes and costs give you what you need to price the work properly.

  3. 03

    A protected client relationship

We do not approach, market to or pitch your clients outside the work we agree.

  4. 04

    Reliable delivery

Honest estimates, early warnings and direct access to the people doing the work.

  5. 05

Work worth putting your name on

Responsive, accessible and carefully tested products with solid foundations.

  6. 06

A team that fits around yours

Full ownership when you need it; close collaboration when you already have capability in place.

Five ways to work together

How we can support your agency.

Start with the closest fit. We will work out the edges, responsibilities and level of visibility together.

01

Full project delivery

You bring the client. We help deliver the work.

We can take a website, app or digital product from an early idea through to launch, or join once the strategy and design are already complete.

Some agency partners send us approved Figma files and ask us to handle the build. Others bring us into discovery, UX, technical planning and design from the start. We adapt to the part of the project you need us to own.

Delivery can be fully white-label, openly collaborative or somewhere between the two.

Discuss a project

This can include

  • Technical discovery & scoping
  • Website strategy & information architecture
  • UX & wireframing
  • Interface design
  • Front-end development
  • Back-end development
  • CMS development
  • Web apps & SaaS platforms
  • APIs & third-party integrations
  • Accessibility & performance
  • Testing & quality assurance
  • Hosting, documentation & handover
02

White-label care plans

Keep supporting your client after launch.

A website rarely stops needing attention once it goes live. Clients need updates, security work, new pages, bug fixes, small improvements and somebody dependable to call when things do not behave as expected.

We provide that technical support under your agency’s name. You remain the client’s main relationship, and you decide how the service is presented and what you charge.

Your agency gains a recurring service to offer, while the client keeps continuity with the team they already trust.

Ask about care plans

This can include

  • Software & dependency updates
  • Security monitoring
  • Backups & recovery support
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Bug fixes
  • CMS & content support
  • Small design changes
  • Small development changes
  • Performance improvements
  • Accessibility improvements
  • Technical advice & reporting
  • An allowance for ongoing work
03

Reserved monthly capacity

Development time you can plan around.

Reserve a set amount of BuiltByHumans capacity each month and use it across your client work, without commissioning a separate project every time something comes up.

It can cover campaign pages, feature development, pitch support, technical fixes, design changes or overflow work when your internal team is at capacity. You get predictable monthly costs and priority access to the team.

Best for agencies with regular digital work, but not enough consistent demand to justify another full-time hire.

Ask about capacity

This can include

  • Client website updates
  • Landing & campaign pages
  • New website features
  • CMS development
  • Integration work
  • Front-end support
  • Technical problem-solving
  • UX & interface improvements
  • Performance work
  • Accessibility improvements
  • Support across client accounts
  • Agreed priority & overage process
04

Technical audits & rescue

Somewhere reliable for difficult projects.

Agencies often inherit digital problems they did not create: a slow WordPress site, an abandoned build, a no-code product that has reached its limits or a vibe-coded prototype that is not ready for paying users.

Before recommending a complete rebuild, we work out what is actually wrong. The audit gives you an evidence-based recommendation you can use with your client, whether we complete the work or hand the findings to another team.

Keep
The foundations are sound and only minor work is needed.
Fix
The project can be recovered with a defined programme of improvements.
Rebuild
The current foundations create more cost and risk than starting again.

The aim is not to manufacture a bigger project. It is to give you an honest picture of what you have inherited.

Bring us a difficult project

This can include

  • Code quality
  • Website or app architecture
  • CMS setup
  • Hosting & deployment
  • Security
  • Authentication & permissions
  • Database structure
  • Third-party integrations
  • Dependencies
  • Performance
  • Accessibility
  • Responsiveness
  • Scalability & technical debt
  • Documentation & ownership
05

Pitch & discovery support

Better estimates before you put your name to them.

A large part of protecting an agency’s margin happens before the work has been won. A feature that sounds simple in a client meeting can hide authentication, payments, data migration or complex integrations.

Bring us in early and we can make the opportunity understandable and buildable before costs and deadlines are promised. For larger or less-defined opportunities, a paid discovery phase gives the agency and client something useful even if the full project does not proceed immediately.

You remain in control of the proposal, the commercial relationship and the final recommendation.

Get help with a pitch

This can include

  • Review the client brief
  • Identify missing requirements
  • Recommend a technical approach
  • Spot hidden complexity
  • Suggest simpler routes
  • Separate essentials from later phases
  • Prepare costs & timings
  • Create a technical scope
  • Join planning sessions
  • Attend client calls as your team
  • Support proposals & pitch responses

White-label without the awkwardness

Your client stays your client.

You decide how visible we are. We agree communication, meetings, presentation and ownership at the start — then stick to it.

01

Completely behind the scenes

Your agency leads. We build under your name and communicate through your team.

02

Part of your agency team

We join workshops, planning sessions and client calls as members of your wider delivery team.

03

A specialist partner

You remain the lead agency while we bring the technical expertise the project needs.

Whichever route you choose, we agree the boundaries before work begins: how we communicate, who attends meetings, how the work is presented and who owns the ongoing relationship.

Your agency has built the trust. It stays with you. We will not independently approach, market to or pitch your clients outside the work agreed with your agency.

We do not need the credit. We care that the work lands well and your client feels looked after.

Choose the relationship

The right shape for the work.

01

Project partner

For a defined website, app or digital project. We agree the scope, responsibilities, timings and costs, then take the work through to launch.

Best for

A specific client project that needs dependable delivery.

02

Reserved capacity

A set amount of design and development capacity each month, used across client requests, smaller projects, pitch support and ongoing improvements.

Best for

Agencies with regular demand that changes month to month.

03

Embedded development partner

We become the development arm of your agency — helping with estimates, joining planning sessions, delivering projects and providing ongoing support under your name.

Best for

Agencies offering digital as a core capability without a full internal department.

Close enough to sit around the same table

Bristol-based. UK-wide.

Remote when it is efficient. In person when it matters.

We are based in Bristol and work with agencies across the South West and the rest of the UK. Most day-to-day delivery can happen efficiently online, with clear communication and direct access to the people doing the work.

Some conversations are better face to face. For workshops, pitch preparation, project planning and key client meetings, we can come to your studio when being in the room will make the work better.

From first brief to ongoing care

How the partnership works.

Enough process to make delivery dependable. Enough flexibility to suit how your agency already works.

  1. 01

Show us what is coming up

Send the brief, deck, Figma file, client email or whatever you have.

  2. 02

    Make it buildable

We ask useful questions and recommend an approach that fits the project and budget.

  3. 03

    Agree how we show up

White-label, client-facing or in between — with boundaries made clear at the start.

  4. 04

    Deliver clearly

Regular progress, access to the team and early warning when something needs attention.

  5. 05

    Stay as long as useful

A clean handover, ongoing care or reserved monthly capacity — your call.

Websites, platforms & products

Frequently asked questions

The useful details.

If your question is not here, send us the rough version. We would rather give you a clear answer than make you prepare a perfect brief.

Will our clients know you are involved?

Only if you want them to. We can be introduced as a specialist partner, join calls as part of your team or work completely behind the scenes under your agency’s name.

Will you approach our clients directly?

No. The client relationship remains yours. We only communicate with the client in the way agreed with your agency and will not independently market or pitch services to them.

Can you help us quote before we have won the project?

Yes. We can review requirements, recommend a technical approach and help prepare realistic costs and timings. Larger opportunities may be better served by a paid discovery phase.

Can we resell your maintenance and support?

Yes. We can provide an ongoing care plan under your agency’s name. You choose how it is packaged and priced for the client.

How does reserved monthly capacity work?

We agree the amount of available time, the kind of work it can cover, your level of priority, and what happens if you need more or do not use it all.

Can you take over an existing or unfinished project?

Yes. We usually begin with a technical audit so both sides understand what can be kept, what needs fixing and whether anything should be rebuilt.

Can you work from designs created by our team?

Yes. We can build from supplied Figma designs and follow your design system, or support your team with UX, prototyping and interface design when needed.

Do we need a complete technical brief?

No. A rough brief is enough to begin. Part of our role can be turning the client’s idea into a clear and buildable specification.

How do you charge?

Depending on the work, we can provide a fixed project price, paid discovery, a technical audit, reserved monthly capacity or an ongoing care plan. We recommend the simplest model for the work rather than forcing every project into the same package.

Do you only work with agencies in Bristol?

No. We work remotely with agencies across the UK, and can meet agencies across Bristol and the South West in person when it helps.

Got something in the pipeline?

Send us whatever you have.

A half-finished deck, an early design or a few lines copied from a client email. We will tell you what looks straightforward, what needs more thought and whether we are the right people for it.

No hard sell. Just a useful first conversation with the people who would do the work.

A rough brief is enough.
